Brief description:
Gozhuly (originally Gozhuly, Gudzuly) — Historian Lazarevsky believes that this settlement was founded in the early second half of the 17th century and was owned by Poltava colonel Demyan Gudzhel. Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky mentions the uniqueness of Yelizaveta Miloradovich's estate in Gozuly in one of his letters. He visited here in early summer 1879 with Daria Lanova, a talented soloist from the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. A group of historians is currently searching for information about the estate of E. Miloradovich.
